Temple Tree presents: The Ancient Origins of Matcha, a guided journey
Hosted by Temple Tree
Welcome to the ancient story of matcha.
For one hour, step away from the festival and into a centuries old tea ritual.
Originally seen and respected as a spiritual tool, now used as a remarkable drink.
Once carried by monks from China to Japan. But they didn’t cross the sea for tea, they travelled for months in search of wisdom and enlightenment.
Tony of Temple Tree invites you into the mystical story of matcha tea, exploring its origins and rediscovering the purpose and experience for which it was originally embraced.
Together, we will experience how matcha can bring stillness to the mind, support a calm nervous system and cultivate a meditative state of being.
The experience includes:
- The origin story of matcha
- Two bowls of matcha tea
- Breathwork
- A guided moment of stillness in the mind
Discover the origins of this remarkable tea and find a place curated for you to land and calm your senses during this tea festival.
Participants leave with a deeper understanding of matcha's origins and a simple stillness practice that can be integrated into daily life.
Suitable for beginners and all experience levels. No previous meditation or tea ceremony experience is needed.
No aftercare is required.
