Our mission

Root Tea is a tea brand aiming to bring family Chinese herbal blends to the masses.
Growing up in a Teochew family, I remember being given tea every time I asked for water. That’s how much tea was drunk in my immediate household. And habits grow by childhood association, so as an adult tea continued to become my comfort drink. Around a few years ago, I started learning how to recreate some of the herbal blends my mom was making regularly for her own health purposes, and realised that barely anyone was recreating/selling those same blends in the public.
