At first glance, tea culture and rave culture seem worlds apart. One is rooted in ritual and reflection, the other in rhythm and intensity. Tea Rave brings these two together in a single, focused experience.
In recent years, more and more electronic music lovers have been looking for ways to enjoy nightlife in a more mindful, balanced way. The love for powerful sound hasn’t changed — but there’s a new interest in how the night feels: more present, more intentional, less numbing.
Tea Rave is built exactly around that shift.
It’s a full-scale event dedicated to expressive electronic music, featuring two UK artists — James Shinra and Iglooghost — alongside a special experimental DJ set by Brainfilter, created specifically for this celebration. The night moves between emotive techno, broken-beat experimentation and surreal, high-definition soundscapes, creating an atmosphere that is intense, energising and deeply immersive.
The concept is simple:
Instead of alcohol, the bar will serve tea and a selection of non-alcoholic drinks (yerba mate, kombucha, sparkling tea, hojicha cooler and many more), keeping the atmosphere open, grounded and mentally sharp. Guests will also be invited to explore a site-specific conceptual installation designed for the event.
Tea Rave speaks to anyone curious to experience electronic music differently — whether they are deeply into the genre or completely new to it. The aim is not to replace clubs or festivals, but to offer an alternative way of connecting with sound, space and each other. The invited artists work with layered, intricate forms of electronic music, especially within broken-beat and experimental directions. Their sets open up new textures and new dimensions of listening.
Tea Rave is a meeting point between two cultures that rarely intersect, showing how they can enrich one another and create a space that feels vibrant, present and genuinely inspiring.
